Delta Junction, 99 miles south of Fairbanks in the Tanana River Valley, is just south of the confluence of the Delta River and the Tanana River at Big Delta.
The Alaska Highway (Alcan Highway) terminates at the Richardson Highway in Delta Junction.
The TransAlaska Pipeline crosses over the Tanana River via a pipeline bridge just north of Delta Junction.
